California’s Gamblit Gaming to produce ‘gamblified’ version of Cut the Rope 2
After receiving approximately $25 million from a group of unnamed private investors earlier in the year to help fund its development of new games, Gamblit Gaming has now announced the signing of a deal that will see it develop a real-money version of the popular Cut the Rope 2 fantasy adventure title.
The California firm is a supplier of real-money and skill-based games to land-based casinos and explained that the agreement with Moscow-based publisher ZeptoLab will see it produce a “gamblified” version of Cut the Rope 2 in order to transform the game into “a modernized casino experience”.
Gamblit Gaming declared that it intends to premiere its real-money version of Cut the Rope 2 during the next edition of the annual Global Gaming Expo (G2E), which is scheduled to run from October 3 to 5 in Las Vegas, before introducing the title to casino floors next year via its TriStation games machines.
“With more than one billion downloads, the Cut the Rope franchise has launched five different games including Cut the Rope, Cut the Rope 2, Cut the Rope: Time Travel, Cut the Rope: Experiments and Cut the Rope: Magic across all mobile platforms,” read a statement from Glendale-based Gamblit Gaming. “ZeptoLab’s overall portfolio has more than 60 million monthly active users with over six million playing games daily. Familiar to play, yet challenging to master, Cut the Rope 2 brings fresh challenges and unanticipated obstacles to the candy-crunching physics-based phenomenon that has delighted millions of players around the world.”
